Question:
1. Each day the average woman should consume: The correct answer: C. 1,500 calories out!
Which is exactly my point! 1. The "average" thing. 2. The lack of specificity on "maintenance" vs. "Diet" Thing is – about 10 yrs ago I used to like Dennis Austin. I used to work out to her show that was on ESPN in the mornings. IT would kick my butt. (and I was only 20 yrs old then). I liked her. But inthe past 10 yrs it seems that DA is jumping on every fad bandwagon out there. It gets annoying – and then reading stuff like this just makes me realize that she will say or do anything for the almighty $$ … She’s a total sell out.

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Fat is 9 cal per gram, protein and carbs are 4 cal per gram. Fiber doesn’t have calories, does it? I hate those quizzes that msn posts on their site. Here’s todays (well, they’ve posted this one before and I hate them). 1. Each day the average woman should consume: The correct answer: C. 1,500 calories The ideal division of calories: a 300-calorie breakfast, a 100-calorie midmorning snack, a 400-calorie lunch, a 200-calorie mid-afternoon snack and a 500-calorie dinner. For help divvying up your caloric intake, click here, and let good-health guru and author of "Lose Those Last 10 Pounds," Denise Austin plan your meals for you! *** the question askes consumption per day – not specifying maintenance or loss. And "average"… well – not everyone is average. ARGH – I hate that generallization. calories from your total calorie intake. The correct answer: C. Fiber We all know that high-fiber foods like bran and prunes help keep you regular, but they also lower your risk of heart disease and provide you with a feeling of fullness, so you don’t overeat. And they speed the progress of the food through your intestines, before all of it can be absorbed and stored as fat. ***OK – I guess I’m wrong but I thought Protein was 9cals per g.
