Doctor encouraged me to do so. :Finished in 5:30. Weight 170 and 5′9". Have run for over 10 years but :cholesterol started to show high test about 5 years ago following drastic :45 lbs loss of weight after going on nutra system diet. When I regained my :normal weight 5 years ago, cholesterol problem surfaced. Eat mostly low :fat foods. Only vice is Starbucks coffee in large quantities. No :problems in health except fear of heart problems in future because of high :testing. Any medical providers or persons with knowledge, please advise. I’m not a medical provider, but I wrote a term paper about running and its cardiac benefits many years ago. I seem to recall that one of the large epidemiological studies showed that persons who drank more than three cups of coffee per day were at increased risk of heart disease. Coffee beans have oil in them. I suggest that this *might* be part of your problem if your consumption is excessive. Starbucks has good stuff (I like their dark decaf roasts, personally), but if you can keep yourself to less than a pot per day you *might* see some improvement. Supposedly, calcium and fiber also help your body purge itself of dietary cholesterol. It looks like your body makes all it needs already, so maybe washing down a meal with a glass of 1% and a bran muffin might help. I’m no dietician, though — do what works for *you*. — Chris BeHanna DoD# 114 KotSTA Ed Green 1975 CB360T – Baby Bike kore wa NEC no iken de gozaimasen. I am writing an article for a national women’s magazine about cholesterol. One point we’re trying to make is that someone who is otherwise fit and has excellent health habits may still have cholesterol problems (so there’s no way to tell just by looking at someone whether their cholesterol is high): it needs to be checked. Does any woman here have borderline high cholesterol (200-240) despite all her exercise? If so, I’d love to talk with you. Please e-mail me Best wishes, Sue

Does anyone have the date for the 1997 Falmouth Road Race? How about a recommendation for a place for 2 couples to stay? Perhaps a B&B? I checked the website but there was no race date. I appreciate any info.
