Question:

Could someone please confirm or deny a rumor for me? I’ve heard a rumor that excessive insulin over a long period of time causes VEINS TO CRYSTALLIZE. It falls in with the category that electricity pours out of empty lightbulb sockets, and some other wives tales.  The veins will not have a chance to crystalize, since you will be dead, unless treated immediately.

It is believed that many Type IIs have excessive insulin because their pancreas keeps getting the signal that the body needs more since the cells are not getting fed. Most of the drugs given to Type IIs increase the insulin output even more. –Michael

Could someone please confirm or deny a rumor for me? I’ve heard a rumor that excessive insulin over a long period of time causes VEINS TO CRYSTALLIZE. Could someone support or dismiss this crystallizing comment? Other than extremely low boold sugar, what other damage is caused by excessive insulin? Thanks in advance…   Dave      Milwaukee, WI

- Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – As soon as he started the treatment he began feeling thirsty, tired and sleepy. So we went to the doctor again and he said to stop with the vyrtec, but he remained with the same feelings. He went to a lab to make some analysis, and the results were bad his diabetes values flutuate between 274 and 540. he became insuline dependent, twice a day… could this happened because of the VYRTEC? What is "VYRTEC"?  Is it a medicine?  What is it used for?  What is the chemical name?  (Even in Portuguese this would be a help.) dkc David Cohler, South Pasadena, CA Media Access Consultancy http://members.tripod.com/~dcohler/
