No, not everyone…didn’t get my first bear till I bought one in 9th grade. (Had a couple stuffed animals, though, a lion & a mouse, & a nonsense pillowcreature.) I’ve been slowly building up a collection of bears since. Not the frilly fancy art fair type, just the bears I wish I had growing up. kimmer <who had to restrain herself from getting this soft, cute, huggable terrycloth bear at the bookstore today…costs too mch

well, at least, the GP at student health. She said she thought it could be thyroid or depression causing my lack of appetite & weaight loss, & either the weight loss, heart disease, the depression, or panic attacks that’s causing the worsening of my murmur. (for the 1st time, a doctor was able to hear it while I was at rest–& through 2 shirts at that…they couldn’t -ever- hear it when there wasn’t anything in the way before. So it’s gotten -much- worse.)She didn’t think that my meds had much (if any) effect on hte murmur. She ordered a resting EKG & a whole slough of blood tests to figure out what exactly is going on. It was too late in the day to get the bloodwork done, so I have to get in there tomorrow to do that, but I was able to have the EKG done. Came back as "normal", but I don’t know how accurate that is, since it didn’t seem to pick up the murmur at all. Which the doc was able to -hear-. Aren’t EKG’s supposed to be able to pick up stuff that’s so quiet you can’t even hear? I’m real thin, so it should be coming through loud & clear, right? All this has me feeling a -little- better…I’m getting a little bit of an idea of what’s going on. Still, the waiting for the blood tests to be done & for the results to come in is going to be hard. Oh. <realization dawning I still have to tell my parents about this… I didn’t even -think- to call them. Told y’all, & my best friend (well, he was there when it happened, so I don’t know if it really counts) but I didnt think to let them know this happened. ‘course, they’ll find out anyway when it shows up on hte insurance bill… kimmer <going off to phone the ‘rents You know a topic’s played out when you are reduced to one-syllable answers. <huh?
