Question:

Hi Al I know what you are going through. I missed a year of work right after I was diagnosed with panic disorder. I really worried that it would cause me to lose my job but it didnt. I would think your company would take into consideration your good work history and past performance and also the fact that you are doing everything you can to get well. I cant answer your question as to whether you are covered federally or by the state,but I do know,at least in my state,that panic disorder is classified as a disease,just like diabetes,heart disease etc . I would imagine it would be like that in every state. Hopefully someone on here can give you more helpful and detailed information. . I hope you can find the answers you are looking for so you can at least get that worry off your mind and be able to focus on getting better.
